Simply, the Light...

The search for the pure shot

My journey in Photography

My research is based on the purity of the lens and the essentiality of the Macro Straight Shot. I photograph to explore reality, choosing a totally artisanal approach: no editing and no A.I., without manipulating the images after the shot. Playing with light, I love to reveal small imaginary worlds that magically come to life. At that point, I take a step back, leaving the observer the freedom to get lost in them and give shape to their own impressions.

The search for sharpness

The balance of forms

My direct "approach"

I dedicate myself to exploring the hidden textures and structures of nature. Through precise focusing, I try to render every tiny detail exactly as it is, without altering reality.

I pursue a photographic composition that is always pleasing and balanced. I build the image in the field, seeking the exact moment when lines, volumes, and light find their natural harmony.

I try to apply the principles of Straight Photography, tied to the utmost fidelity to the scene I have in front of me. I choose not to resort to alterations or manipulations in post-production, in order to preserve the authenticity of the moment I took the shot.

My working method

A short 90-second video to share my approach. It concretely shows my research in the field: the wait to capture a pure shot, seeking maximum sharpness from the very first moment. Playing with light, I simply try to best express the extraordinary and wonderful things it can offer us, embracing its reflections, refractions, and spectrums. The subsequent intervention is then reduced to the essential: the file is only "developed," remaining strictly within the limits of the adjustments feasible in a traditional darkroom, concluding the process with the simple conversion from RAW to JPEG format.
